Long overdue update, free McDonald lattes Friday, Fix-It Fair, double the content

Finally, here’s our very long overdue update for this companion blog to Portlandonthecheap!  We’ve spent the last month adding and adding and adding more content to our main web site — being snowed in for a week actually produced some results.   For our RSS subscribers, thank you for your patience and you will see more frequent postings to this feed.  For those of you just discovering the blog, please click on that orange button on the top right hand corner to subscribe to the latest updates.  Now, here are some great things to look forward to for this weekend:

– Free small lattes at McDonald’s from 7:00am-11:00am on Friday, January 9th.  No purchase necessary, get your caffeine fix on the cheap!

– Portland Fix-It Fair this Saturday, January 10th at Parkrose High School from 8:30am – 2:00pm.  A whole slew of workshops are scheduled, and there will be free childcare, giveaways and hourly door prizes.  And free lunch from Burgerville, all free!  Click here for more info.

– Saturday is the last day to pick up Fresh Express complete Salad kits from Fred Meyer for only $1, which normally sells for $4.  Cheap potluck item!

– Saks Fifth Avenue offers you an additional 50% off select clearance items, saving you up to 80%.  Valid now until Sunday, January 11th.  If Saks is a little on the high end, then be sure to check out your local Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross — recent visits this week yielded a bunch of clearance racks and further price reductions.

On our main web site, we’ve added a bunch of new content, including new birthday perks, a huge shopping section, real estate, buffets, acupuncture, monthly calendar and deals and discounts for parents, seniors and pet owners.  Take a look!  www.portlandonthecheap.com
