Cheap Stuff to do for Monday, July 27th – Thursday, July 30th

Already the last week of July? Get out and check out these cheap-o things to do!

    – McMenamins History Pub Last Mondays at the Kennedy School: “On Paper Wings,” features documentary filmmaker Ilana Sol. 7:00pm, free for all ages, bring canned or non-perishable food to donate to the Oregon Food Bank.

    – Take the MAX to the Round for Beaverton’s Last Tuesday event, featuring music, artists, food and more this Tuesday, July 28th from 5:00pm – 8:00pm.

    – The last Wednesday of the month means Ground Kontrol’s monthly free play party! Pay only $5 to play all the games you want from 5:00pm – late late late! You get classic arcades, pinball and some newer games, plus at 9:00pm they’ll have a live DJ.

    – When you are exhausted from all the arcade action, walk over to BridgePort Brewery for their first evening of “Movies in the Pearl.” Seating is limited so bring your own chairs. Movie trivia starts at 7:30, and at 9:00pm a collection of short films will be shown. Free and open to the public.

    – Thursday, July 30th: head over to Alberta Street’s Last Thursday event or go west to Hillsboro for the opening day of the Washington County Fair, with gates opening up at 10:00am and the fair going on til’ 11:00pm. Both events are free, with a plenty of food, fun and people watching.

– Check back on Thursday for your Portland on the Cheap Spotlight, plus a sneak peek for things to do for the weekend. Or look ahead to August by going to our calendar here. Thanks for reading!
