– Monday, August 17th: nothing officially on our calendar, but Monday nights are always a great night to watch cheap movies at the Academy Theater (Monday Movie Madness: watch any two consecutive movies for $6/$5 children and seniors) or McMenamins ‘Burger, Beer & a Movie‘ for $10-$12 per person depending on theater. – Tuesday, August 18th: enjoy a free noon time concert at Pioneer Courthouse Square or a free 6:00pm concert at Kenton Park. The Bagdad Theater hosts NW Filmmakers Debut Night at 7:00pm, as local filmmakers compete for a $200 first place cash prize ($3 admission).
– Wednesday, August 19th: take in a free 6:00pm concert by The Bobby Torres Ensemble as part of the ‘Music on Main Street‘ series in downtown Portland, then head north to Bridgeport Brewery for the free 9:00pm ‘Movies in the Pearl.’
