Monday, October 26th:
- KFC is giving out free grilled chicken to recognize “Grilled Nation’s UNFry Day.” *Free piece of Kentucky Grilled Chicken offer is valid at participating U.S. KFC® restaurants October 26 only. Limit one free piece per person. Free piece selection is at manager’s choice and may vary by location.

- Birthday night at 13th Door Haunted House. Everyone born in the month of October gets free admission! Bring your friends and family for discounted admission by going to KGW’s half-price deals page.

Tuesday, October 27th:
- Grand opening celebration of Simon and Helen Director Park in the downtown park blocks. 5:00pm – 7:00pm with free music, dance performance and apple cider.

- “Reimagining the Good Life,” 12th Annual Symposium on Environmental Affairs at Lewis and Clark College, October 27th-29th. Free and open to the public. Click here for the pdf schedule of speakers and topics.

- It’s opening night of the Trail Blazers basketball 2009-2010 campaign as they take on the Houston Rockets at 7:00pm in the Rose Garden. Join with other fans at the arena or at area bars and restaurants and let’s cheer on for that championship parade!

Wednesday, October 28th:
- It’s Ground Kontrol’s montly free-play party in Old Town/Chinatown: pay $5 and get all the arcade games and pinball games you want, 5:00pm til’ late.

Thursday, October 29th:
- Brown Bag Lunch & Learn series, 12:00pm – 1:00pm at Multnomah County’s Central library. Cosponsored by Multnomah County Library and Portland Community College. Free.

- It’s the last Thursday of the month, so take an evening stroll along NE Alberta Street for Last Thursday.
