Monday, April 26th:

– 13th Annual Cascade Career Fair at Portland Community College Cascade Gymnasium, 11:00am – 3:00pm. Get your resume reviewed, attend a workshop and visit with employers and recruiters. All free!
– OMSI Science Pub presents “Crime Lab Confessions: A Forensic Scientist Tells All,” at 7:00pm at McMenamins Mission Theater. $2 suggested donation, 21 and over or minor with an adult.
Wednesday, April 28th:
– Powell’s book reading featuring damali ayo and his humorous read “Obamistan! Land Without Racism: Your Guide to the New America.” Free, starts at 7:30pm at Powell’s City of Books.
– Reading Frenzy presents Lloyd Dangle performing his “Sly and Snide Slideshow” at 7:00pm. Admission is $5 or go in free with the purchase of one of his titles. This event will be held upstairs from Reading Frenzy at the ILWU Local 5 office; the free beer is courtesy of Ninkasi.
– Ground Kontrol’s monthly Free Play Party starts at 5:00pm and a $5 cover gets you all the video arcade and pinball games you can play.
Thursday, April 29th:
– Game 5 of our Portland Trail Blazers vs. the Phoenix Suns, catch it live on free TV KGW Channel 8.
– Last Thursday on Alberta Street, starts around 5:00pm.
