Monday, February 13th:
– PCPA Noontime Showcase : Portland Opera Hansel and Gretel, 12:00pm at the Hatfield Hall rotunda. This is a free event and tickets are not needed.
– Blaxploitation film “The House on Skull Mountain,” screens at 7:00pm, followed by discussion and Q&A with Albert Shepard. Suggested donation of $5 at the door (though no one will be turned away for lack of funds) at In Other Words Feminist Community Center.
– Oregon Encyclopedia History Night presents “Abraham Lincoln and the American West during the Civil War Era,” 7:00pm at McMenamins Mission Theater. Free admission, 21 plus or minor with parent or guardian.
Tuesday, February 14th:

– Oregon Zoo Second Tuesday: admission is just $4 per person; show proof of fare for riding the MAX and receive another $1.50 off.
– Oregon Statehood Day: free admission for all to the Oregon Historical Society. They will be cutting Oregon’s birthday cake at noon with special guests, past Governors Victor Atiyeh and Barbara Roberts. (If you can’t make it today, the OHS will also offer free admission this Saturday, February 18, with activities from 11:00am – 3:00pm)
– Multicultural Film Festival screening of “War Dance,” 5:00pm at the North Portland Neighborhood Library, Second Floor Conference Room. Free.
– 3rd annual Valentine’s Day Zombie Pub Crawl, 6:30pm start time at the Lone Fir Cemetery, please see web site for more details.

Wednesday, February 15th:
– PCC’s 4th annual “Heart Beat” Health Fair from 10:30am – 12:30pm at the Upper Mall of the College Center building at PCC Syvlania. The event is free of charge and open to the public. Parking is $5.
– Free lecture “A Flurry Of Changes: How climate shifts are impacting snowfall, glaciers, and the way we live, work and play in the Pacific NW,” 5:30pm reception followed by the program at 6:15pm. This event is free and open to the public; however, space is limited, so please register here. The event will take place at KEEN Footwear in the Pearl district.
– Independent Lens Community Cinema screening of “More than a Month,” 6:00pm in the George S. Turnbull Center on Floor 3R of the White Stag Block, 70 NW Couch Street. Free for the public.
