– Laurelhurst Elementary performs a holiday concert at Pioneer Courthouse Square, 12:00pm – 1:00pm, free.
– Conversation and book signing with Peter Ames Carlin, author of “Bruce,” 6:30pm at the Oregon Historical Society, free.
Everything Is Terrible Holiday Special 2012, 7:00pm at the Hollywood Theatre for this found footage spectacle. $10 advance tickets, $12 at the door.
– History talk “Portland Crime! Illustrated by Dark Horse Comics,” presented by former newspaper columnist Phil Stanford. 7:00pm at McMenamins Mission Theater, free.

Tuesday, December 11th:
Oregon Zoo offers: visit during the daytime before 4:00pm and admission is just $4 per person (show proof of Tri-Met ridership and receive an additional $1.50 off); visit after 4:00pm for the ZooLights festival and receive a buy-one-get-one special — the second ticket must be equal or lesser value.
– The 12th annual Jefferson High School Multicultural Film Festival screens the movie “Bhutan: The Height of Happiness?,” 6:00pm at the North Portland Library, free.

Happy Birthday Grace Paley party, 7:00pm at the Clinton Street Theater features a documentary, poems and birthday cake. Free and open to the public.

– The Ascension Catholic Choir performs a a free holiday concert 7:00pm at St. Andrews Care Center Chapel. Free and open to the public.
– Local stand up comedians perform 9:30pm at Mississippi Pizza, free.

Thursday, December 13th:
– Panache Choir and Buckman Elementary School Chorus performs a holiday concert at Pioneer Courthouse Square, 12:00pm – 1:00pm, free.
Downtown Portland Holidates, 4:00pm – 7:00pm for special events in stores and restaurants and live merry music. See web site for details.
