Monday, June 10th:
Pedalpalooza continues its all-bicycle celebration with free rides, outings and much more — all week long! Please see web site for schedule of events.
– Powell’s book event with author Susan Schorn and her new book “Smile at Strangers: And Other Lessons in the Art of Living Fearlessly,” 7:30pm at Powell’s City of Books on Burnside, free.

Tuesday, June 11th:
Oregon Zoo second Tuesday offers $4 admission for all. Ride public transit, show proof of fare and receive an additional $1.50 off.
– Free library program with James Roddey, an expert on Northwest geologic hazards, as he presents “Quake-Up Call,” 6:30pm at the Hillsboro Main Library.
Race Talks: Opportunities for Dialogue presents a round table discussion on “Interracial Couples,” 7:00pm at McMenamins Kennedy School. Free event, all ages are welcome.
– The Audubon Society of Portland welcomes author Grant McOmie to discuss his newly published book “Grant’s Getaways: 101 Oregon Adventures,” 7:00pm, free.
– Portland State’s College of the Arts, School of Theatre and Film dance choreography class presents “Range of Motion,” 7:30pm at the Lincoln Performance Hall. Free admission, donations accepted.

Wednesday, June 12th:
– Chamber group “Thousand Waves,” performs at the Lake Oswego Public Library from 1:00pm – 2:00pm, free.
Hump Day Art and and Music Street Festival kicks off their summer season from 6:00pm – 10:00pm at SE 9th Avenue between Belmont and Taylor. Admission is free, donations accepted for the live musical performers.
– Free library program “Managing Your Financial Aid,” 6:15pm – 7:15pm at the North Portland library.
– The Jim Elkins Appreciation Society and McMenamins Mission Cinema Society present night one of “True Crime in Portland,” 7:00pm speaker and 8:00pm film at McMenamins Mission Theater. $7 per person, 21 and over only.
John Twist performs all original songs and instrumentals at the Cedar Mill Community Library, 7:00pm, free.

Thursday, June 13th:
– The Jim Elkins Appreciation Society and McMenamins Mission Cinema Society present night two of “True Crime in Portland,” 7:00pm speaker and 8:00pm film at McMenamins Mission Theater. $7 per person, 21 and over only.
– Free class just in time for the long summer days, “Backpacking Basics,” 7:30pm at the Clackamas REI.
– Powell’s book event welcomes author Peter Zuckerman and his new book “Buried in the Sky,” 7:30pm at Powell’s City of Books on Burnside, free.
