– Hillsboro Public Library Fall Used Book Sale runs from Friday, November 1st through Sunday, November 10th.
Friday 11/1:
– For the day after Halloween, check for 50% discounts or more at area retailers for candy, costumes, decorations and more.
– Target First Friday free admission at the Portland Children’s Museum, 4:00pm – 8:00pm.
– Portland First Friday.
– Submission from Katy: Well Arts Institute presents “Beautiful Minds: I Wander, It Calls” with a performance at 7:30pm at Portland Actors Conservatory (1436 SW Montgomery Street). Admission is $10 general, $5 students and seniors.
Saturday 11/2:
– Bank of America’s Museums on Us program offers free admission to the Portland Art Museum and the Portland Children’s Museum. To qualify for Museums on Us, customers must present their Bank of America or Merrill Lynch credit or debit card along with a photo ID to gain free general admission.
– Portland’s Largest Garage Sale, 8:00am – 5:00pm at the Portland Expo Center, $5 ages 12 and up.
– Coffee Fair at the World Forestry Center, 10:00am – 3:00pm and just a $5 admission charge for everyone.
– Free public tours for Greenpeace’s Rainbow Warrior ship at Vancouver Landing. RSVP online.
– 20th Annual Sitka Art Invitational at the World Forestry Center, $5 admission for adults, 18 and under are free.
– Portland Trail Blazers home opener vs. the defending Western Conference Champion San Antonio Spurs, 7:00pm. If you can’t get tickets to the game, this will be shown on KGW channel 8.

– Portland Opera presents baritone Alexander Elliott in a free recital, but reservations are required for this 7:00pm performance at Whitsell Auditorium (Portland Art Museum).
– Hillsboro First Tuesday opening exhibits, 6:00pm – 8:00pm in downtown Hillsboro, free. Check it out at the Glenn & Viola Walters Cultural Arts Center and the Sequoia Gallery + Studios.
Wednesday 11/6:
– Wondrous Wednesday at the World Forestry Center offers $3 admission.
