Monday, April 26th:

Tuesday, April 27th:

- 13th Annual Cascade Career Fair at Portland Community College Cascade Gymnasium, 11:00am – 3:00pm. Get your resume reviewed, attend a workshop and visit with employers and recruiters. All free!

- OMSI Science Pub presents “Crime Lab Confessions: A Forensic Scientist Tells All,” at 7:00pm at McMenamins Mission Theater. $2 suggested donation, 21 and over or minor with an adult.

Wednesday, April 28th:
- Powell’s book reading featuring damali ayo and his humorous read “Obamistan! Land Without Racism: Your Guide to the New America.” Free, starts at 7:30pm at Powell’s City of Books.

- Reading Frenzy presents Lloyd Dangle performing his “Sly and Snide Slideshow” at 7:00pm. Admission is $5 or go in free with the purchase of one of his titles. This event will be held upstairs from Reading Frenzy at the ILWU Local 5 office; the free beer is courtesy of Ninkasi.

- Ground Kontrol’s monthly Free Play Party starts at 5:00pm and a $5 cover gets you all the video arcade and pinball games you can play.

Thursday, April 29th:
- Game 5 of our Portland Trail Blazers vs. the Phoenix Suns, catch it live on free TV KGW Channel 8.

- Last Thursday on Alberta Street, starts around 5:00pm.

- Choral Union and Jazz Ensemble concert at the University of Portland’s Buckley Center Auditorium. Free performance at 7:30pm, open to the public.

Tuesday, April 20th:
- “Zinesters Talking: Dino Night!” starting at 6:30pm at the Multnomah County Central Library, free.

- “Predicting Earthquakes and Volcanic Eruptions: What Can and Can’t Now Be Done,” free public lecture by Dr. Stephen Malone at OMSI’s OMNIMAX Dome Theater.

Wednesday, April 21st:
- Grand opening festivities for the new 24 Hour Fitness Tanasbourne Super Sport club in Beaverton. The public is invited from 3:00pm – 8:00pm to try out free fitness classes, free fitness orientations, free Kid’s Club and there will be membership specials and prize giveaways.

- “Unfiltered” Indie Rock Showcase, free performance at 8:30pm at McMenamins White Eagle Saloon.

Thursday, April 22nd:
- Portland State University Earth Day Festival, 10:00am – 6:00pm in the PSU Park Blocks. The event will feature community non-profits, art and food vendors, demonstrations of sustainable technology and live entertainment.

Tuesday, April 13th:

Tuesday, April 6th:

Wednesday, April 7th:
- World Forestry Center Wondrous Wednesday, admission is just $2 per person all day to the Discovery Museum.

- User submission: a free Spring Yard Party for knitters at Ecotrust downtown. - Opening day for the Portland Beavers baseball team at 7:00pm, PGE Park with magnet schedule giveaway for the first 2,000 fans. Next year the Beavers will likely play in Tucson, AZ, so go out and lend your support for this 2010 season!

- Book reading “The Story of Stuff,” which “tracks the life of the ‘stuff’ we use every day, from extraction through production, distribution, consumption, and disposal.” 7:30pm at Powell’s City of Books. Free.

Tuesday, March 23rd:
