Hi, I'm a coordinator for Or. Parks & Rec. Dept.'s Let's Go Camping program. Every weekend during the summer beginning June 15, we take novice camper families camping. We provide tents, sleeping bags and mattress pads if they need them and the cost is only $20 for the whole family. We have ranger led activities like nature hikes, hands-on learning activities, lots of fun for adults and children and plenty of s'mores to enjoy around the campfire. Is there any way we can get this great bargain listed in your 2012 Summer guide?

This is off the immediate topic, but I really wanted to thank you for organizing the birthday deals section. It was my partner's bday this past weekend, and we got her a free meal at Vege Thai, Denny's, and Pastini Pastaria, as well as free ice cream cones at Ben and Jerry's and BaskinRobbins. It was a delicious weekend!

The Oregon Garden is a fabulous place to visit, and when given any reason to travel and see the garden is a well spent opportunity. Does the Oregon Garden Resort make as much as an effort as they possibly could to promote the Garden itself. Well there is a Little Luxury Boutique Hotel giving its try and helping hand to the Gardens traffic. The Silverton Inn and Suites is located in the heart of Downtown Silverton. And is currently until the end of June will offer rooms at great discounts like $69.00, throw in two admission tickets and a Dinner for two at any of the following restaurants; Creekside Gill, Silver Grille, Howard Hinsdale Cellars, Seven Brides Brewing, and El Toro restaurante. This is a real deal that could not be missed. Everyone has to check it out www.silvertoninnandsuites.com.

In terms of the “Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning” workshop by Richard Schneider, I just wanted to give a brief review. I attended on of these during the summer and it was basically a 1.5 hour long commercial for Schneider's company and for creating living wills/ trusts. It wasn't absolutely terrible, but it was mostly a waste of time, especially for people who are single, can't or don't want to get married, don't have kids, and don't have a lot of money. He made creating a trust and living will sound great, except it would cost more to do that than we have money to secure! My partner walked out early in the lecture, and I stayed, but it basically was a scare tactic more than anything else. I wish it was actually really helpful, but alas.
